Can you help raise vital funds for York's independent lifeboat and search and rescue charity?
Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd is this years annual Go Orange for Independent Lifeboats day. This year we are encouraging all groups, schools and business in and around York to sign up to for a simple challenge to help cover the cost of running our Lifeboat.
The challenge is simple, we are inviting as many business, schools, youth groups and other organisations to hold a non-uniform day with everyone taking part donating £1. If your unable to hold a non-uniform day you can still help support our efforts by wearing something orange instead
With your help we aim to cover the approximate £20,000 it costs per year to run our lifesaving service, allowing other money raised throughout the year to be re-invested in additional training and lifesaving equipment for our team.
We will aspire to support everyone’s efforts and will have posters, collection pots, and other fundraising materials available, as well as endeavoring to visit as many groups, schools, and
businesses throughout the week. We will also be sharing all your photos and mentions online via our social media channels.
If you would like to get involved and help support your local lifeboat please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
