Call Out 35/19

Date:Sunday 6th October 2019

Our volunteer crews pagers were activated after receiving a report from North Yorkshire Police that a work pontoon had broken free on the flooded river Ouse and was drifting toward's Millennium Bridge. Our lifeboat Jorvik Guardian was quickly launched. Our volunteer crew performed an extensive search downstream of the bridge where they located the pontoon securely moored and returned to base.

A false call with good intent
